To accommodate the demanding and often mobile lifestyles of yachting professionals and high-level executives, all sessions are conducted via telehealth. This allows you to prioritize your mental performance from the privacy and comfort of your own home, office, or vessel, no matter where your career takes you.
Absolutely. Your privacy and data security are paramount. Sessions are held through a HIPAA-compliant platform integrated directly into my Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This ensures encrypted, bank-level security for all video and audio communications.
Think of therapy as mental engineering. The "Return on Investment" is reclaimed mental bandwidth, improved decision-making under pressure, and the removal of internal "anchors" (anxiety, depression, or self-doubt) that slow down your external success.
Discretion is the foundation of this practice. We utilize HIPAA-compliant, secure video platforms for all sessions. We understand the "small world" nature of high-profile industries and prioritize your anonymity and confidentiality above all else.
Because we use a results-oriented approach (EMDR, TF-CBT, BSFT), we focus on efficiency. Some clients seek short-term "recalibration" through an Intensive, while others maintain a monthly "maintenance" schedule to stay at the top of their game. We build the timeline around your specific goals.
External success often masks internal depletion. A clinician helps you uncover the hidden barriers—the "iceberg" under the surface—that prevent your achievement from feeling like fulfillment. We help you align your internal architecture with the empire you are building.
The process begins with a confidential consultation. We will audit your current challenges and determine which tactical approach—whether it’s EMDR, strategic family work, or individual cognitive reframing—will get you to your desired outcome most effectively.
An Intensive is a condensed version of EMDR therapy that allows for faster results. Instead of 50-minute weekly sessions, we work for several hours or over consecutive days. This format is designed for high-performing individuals who want to "unstick" mental blocks quickly without months of weekly appointments.
Weekly therapy often involves a "warm-up" and "cool-down" period in every session, leaving about 30–35 minutes of deep work. Intensives eliminate this repetitive overhead, allowing your brain to stay in a focused processing state for longer, often leading to breakthroughs in days that would otherwise take months.
No. While highly effective for significant trauma, we use EMDR at Crew Care and Counseling to neutralize "performance trauma"—setbacks, public failures, or high-stakes pressure that has caused your nervous system to stay in a state of hyper-vigilance or "imposter syndrome."
Processing can be tiring, but most high performers report feeling a sense of "lightness" or clarity afterward. We schedule Intensives with your professional calendar in mind so you have the appropriate "shore time" to integrate the work before returning to high-stakes roles.
Investment & Insurance
A strategic investment in your most valuable asset: Your Mind.
At Crew Care and Counseling, we operate as an Out-of-Network provider. This model is a deliberate choice designed to protect your privacy, ensure the highest quality of specialized care, and allow for the flexibility required by high-stakes professionals.
Why We Choose Out-of-Network Care
Absolute Privacy: When you use insurance, your carrier requires a clinical diagnosis that becomes a permanent part of your medical record. By paying directly, your treatment remains strictly confidential between you and your clinician.
Clinical Freedom: Insurance companies often dictate the frequency, duration, and type of therapy you receive. By operating outside of these constraints, we can utilize high-impact modalities like EMDR Intensives and BSFT that are often not covered or restricted by standard plans.
Specialized Expertise: As a specialist-led practice, our focus is on rapid, results-oriented recalibration. We provide a level of niche mastery—particularly for the maritime and executive sectors—that generalist insurance panels cannot facilitate.
Insurance & Reimbursement: (The "Superbill" explanation).
Rates for Mastery
Individual Performance Session (50 mins): $200
EMDR Intensives: Custom-quoted based on your specific goals and timeline (Half-day and Multiday options available).
Clinical Supervision & Exam Tutoring: $100 per hour.
Maximizing Your Benefits: The Superbill
While we do not bill insurance companies directly, many PPO and high-end insurance plans offer Out-of-Network Reimbursement:
Payment: You pay the full fee at the time of service.
The Superbill: At the end of each month (or following an Intensive), I provide you with a "Superbill"—a specialized receipt containing all the codes your insurance needs.
Reimbursement: you submit this document to your provider, and they may reimburse you for a significant portion of the cost (typically 50%–80%, depending on your plan).
Pro-Tip: I recommend calling your insurance provider and asking: "What is my out-of-network reimbursement rate for outpatient mental health (CPT code 90837)?"
Before our first session, call your insurance provider (the number is on the back of your card) and ask these three questions to determine your reimbursement:
"Does my plan provide out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health?"
"What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met for the year?"
"What is the 'allowed amount' or 'reimbursement percentage' for CPT code 90837 (Individual Therapy) or 90834 (45-minute session)?"
The No Surprises Act:
Financial Transparency: The No Surprises Act
Clear communication is the foundation of any high-performance partnership. I am committed to total
transparency regarding the cost of your care.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not
using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. This is known as a Good Faith
Estimate (GFE).
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Predictable Investment: You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total
expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including psychotherapy sessions and
EMDR Intensives.
Proactive Planning: I will provide your Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day
before your scheduled service. You can also ask for an estimate before you book an appointment.
Dispute Resolution: If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate,
you have the legal right to dispute the bill.
Documentation: Be sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
Our Commitment to Clarity
At Crew Care and Counseling, we treat your mental health journey like any other strategic investment.
There are no hidden fees or unexpected "anchors" in your billing. We ensure you have a clear map of
your financial commitment before we begin our work together.
Note: The Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected
for your health care needs that day. The estimate is based on information known at the time the
estimate was created. It does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during
treatment.
